GRF Elections Update
A Meet the Candidates forum took place today and was broadcast on TV6. The recording will be rerun on November 3 at 6 p.m. and November 7 at 1:30 p.m. on TV6.
There are currently three openings on the GRF Board of Directors. These openings are different than the GRF Board vacancy announced in today’s “What’s Up in the Village” electronic newsletter. The election of one GRF director to the United Mutual Board of Directors created the additional vacancy that is not part of this election.
Although there were four openings for this election, one of the openings was filled yesterday by a special appointment vote by the United Board of Directors. The GRF bylaws allow for a rotating appointment by each mutual. Don Tibbetts was elected as the United delegate yesterday.
The four remaining candidates for the three remaining openings are:
- Elsie Addington
- Gan Mukhopadhyay
- Jon Pearlstone
- Juanita Skillman
The election results will be announced on November 10.
Only Corporate Members can vote in this election. Corporate Members are members of the Board of Directors for Third Mutual, United Mutual and Mutual 50.
