Village Election Voting

Voting is perhaps the strongest and most constructive way we can make our voices heard for national and regional elections—and for elections that take place in the Village. Just as you must properly fill out a national election ballot to make that vote count, so too must members do for Village elections.

Here’s what Third and United mutual members must do to vote—and ensure those votes are not disqualified or invalidated.

Third Laguna Hills Mutual Members

The following candidates will appear on the ballot to fill three seats on the Third Board of Directors, with terms ending at the 2024 annual election:

  • Jim Cook
  • Lynn Jarrett
  • Reza Karimi
  • Mark Laws
  • Nathaniel Lewis
  • Karen Shore

New board directors will be seated at the annual meeting on Thursday, October 7, at 9:30 a.m. at the principal offices of the corporation: Community Center, 24351 El Toro Road, Laguna Woods, CA 92637.

Ballots that were mailed Monday, August 30, must be returned to the UniLect inspector of elections by mail by Thursday, September 30, at 11 a.m. Members also may drop off their ballot in the ballot box located at the Community Center until Thursday, September 30, at 5 p.m.

Ballots will be counted at a special Third Board of Directors tabulation meeting on Friday, October 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Center board room.

If you did not receive your ballot or if your ballot is lost or damaged, call the UniLect Inspector of Elections duplicate request call center at 1-866-466-6455, which is available 24/7 throughout the balloting period.

For any other questions regarding the election, contact Inspector of Elections Catherine Burkhart at 1-888-864-5328 (1-888-UniLect).
