Recreation and Special Events Department News

Last week, Orange County advanced to the Yellow Tier in the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, which guides reopening with respect to COVID-19. Hotels, theaters, places of worship and many other businesses and services continue to expand capacity, and restrictions continue to lift at retail stores, malls, restaurants and many other businesses and services.

That means the Village is expanding amenity offerings, as well. Below are updates for the Village’s Recreation and Special Events Department.

  • Increased hot pool capacity:

* Pool 2 – Five patrons
* Pool 4 – Eight patrons
* Pool 5 – Eight patrons

  • Open locker rooms at Clubhouses 2, 4, 5 and 6
  • Shared lanes for two residents from the same household at lap pools 2 and 5 (in addition to two residents from the same household swimming at leisure pools 4 and 6)
  • Expanded ceramics, woodshop and jewelry studio hours to include weekends
