Updated 2020 Census Information
The 2020 Census national self-response rate is 51.6%, California’s rate is 52.8% and Laguna Woods’ rate is a whopping 71.2%! Keep those responses coming!
Self-response to the 2020 Census takes on even greater significance at this time, as it will help with the planning for emergency situations, such as the one we are currently experiencing, and help protect the public and Census employees by avoiding in-person visits during the nonresponse follow-up period, which is May to July.
The City of Laguna Woods has issued an updated Census Assistance Flyer that now includes a reference to COVID-19 funding and information about responding online, and a new Census flyer that focuses on online and telephone response options. If you need help completing your 2020 Census questionnaire, Laguna Woods City Hall staff are available to help you complete your questionnaire or provide assistance if you misplaced/did not receive your questionnaire.
