Explore, Understand, Strengthen Memory
On the third Thursday of each month in council chambers of the Laguna Woods Library at 24264 El Toro Road, join an ongoing discussion about brain health and ways to combat the symptoms of dementia. Led by licensed social worker Toni Shapiro, LCSW, ACHP-SW, in affiliation with Dr. Jane Mahakian, Gerontologist, Aging Matters Inc., discussion topics include:
- Why we forget
- How memory changes over a life span
- Lifestyle strategies for memory fitness
- Current research about memory, aging and dementia
- Memory-enhancing strategies/skill-building exercises
