May 13 Mother's Day Celebration Performance in Laguna Woods Performing Arts： Golden Girl special invitation Ms. Sophy Wu is a World-renowned Yew Opera performer and enthusiast of Chinese traditional music and opera. She is the president of the Overseas Yue Opera Union. She is also the executive director of the Chinese National Orchestra for the American Merano Cultural Performing Arts Group and the Chairman of the Overseas Yue Opera Alliance for the American Heritage Cup International Art Festival. She has organized, directed, and performed for various; significant cultural events in the greater Los Angeles area in recent years.
A student and a protege of the world-renowned Yue Opera artist Wenjuan Wang, Ms.Wu graduated from the Sengzhou Shaoxing Opera Art School the birthplace of Yue Opera in China. She has received multiple outstanding performance awards throughout the years. She is a great cultural ambassador who has helped to build bridges of friendship and cultural exchanges between China and the United States. She has been an instrumental leader in the preservation and promotion of China's musical and cultural heritage.
