Golden Girl Dance Troupe 2023
After 3 long years, it looks like the Covid pandemic is finally coming to a close and we can get along with our lives and normal activities. With this news, the Laguna Woods “Golden Girls Dancing Troup” is preparing two new exciting performances to celebrate Mother’s Day in the year of the Rabbit 2023. The performances are scheduled for May 13, 2023. One performance will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and the other from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The hosts for these events will be Mr. Zhou, a professional MC in Southern California, and Ann Hwu, President of the Irvine Senior Center.
In addition to the excellent dance routines, Jia Bing Opera artist, Southern California famous tenor, A Rare Chinese Local Opera Singing， Chinese folk instrument performance, and first prize award winner of the LA University Area Competition will perform along with the beautiful Chinese cheongsam. These performances represent traditional Chinese culture and will provide a memorable Mother’s Day event. People of all ages and backgrounds will enjoy experiencing the traditional Chinese Culture.
The Golden Girls Dance Troup is comprised of residents of Laguna Woods and all members love to dance. For the past 12 years, the Golden Girls Dancing Troup has performed at Laguna Woods and its’ neighboring senior center. They have participated in over 300 performances throughout Southern California including performances in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Movie Festivals, and Chinese TV channels. The Golden Girls Dance Troup has been rehearsing and learning new dance routines to provide new and exciting cultural performances for you.
Please come and see this exciting event. We offer regular and VIP seats, with our 2 performances: 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
Tickets are now available at the Club House 3 box office, starting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
